Carter F. Alexander Carter F. Alexander, founder and president of The EMS Group, has managed sales and marketing of technical products in Europe and the US for over 25 years. Prior to founding the EMS Group in 1981 he served Interactive Systems, Inc. (the first commercial reseller of Unix) as Director of International Marketing during which period he introduced the Unix operating system to major European firms including Siemens, Olivetti, Ericsson and British Petroleum. Mr. Alexander's European experience dates to 1976 when he moved to the United Kingdom in the position of Director of European Sales and Marketing for MSI Data. Prior to this post he held sales positions with Honeywell Computers and Burroughs, Inc. selling computer systems in San Francisco. EMS with offices in London, Paris and San Francisco is the leading firm in developing European markets for US technology based companies, having served over 320 clients since 1981. His firm is moving rapidly into developing client opportunities in the European telecommunications area with specific channel development programs as well as strategic channel and market analysis. The EMS Group's clients have included Sun Microsystems, Tandem Computers, Xerox, Sequent Computer Systems, Compaq, Cadence Systems, Lotus Developments, Proteon, Mips, Dell Computers, Storage Technologies and 3Com. Judy Roseth Judy Roseth has over twenty years of computer industry experience, and is president/owner of her own international consulting and training firm, founded in 1991 and specializing in strategic design and organizational development, with a focus in structuring sales and national major account organizations. The agencies training emphasis are in relationship selling, teambuilding and decision making. The Roseth Group is headquartered in Laguna Niguel, California. Judy has been an advisor for the Women's Extension Program for the University of California, Irvine, a speaker for the Cancer Society, a member of the board for The Sales and Marketing Executives Association and a board member for the Star Workshop Foundation. Judy is also a member of the California State Coalition for Workforce Development, a member of the Sales and Marketing Committee for Boardbuilders and a member of the Fundraising Committee for Laura's House in San Clemente, California. She is a long-standing member of CompTIA, The Computer Technology Industry Association, residing on the board of CompTIA's National Electronic Commerce Committee. Robert P. Singh Robert Singh is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Eberhardt School of Business at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California where he teaches Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. Dr. Singh completed his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), his MBA from the Stuart School of Business at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia in mechanical engineering. He has published numerous articles on strategy and entrepreneurship issues in academic journals and presented his research at national and international conferences. His first book, Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition through Social Networks, was just recently published. In addition, he has founded/co-founded and incorporated two businesses: (1) Blade Consulting Corporation (a management and information technology consulting firm) and (2) BouncingBaby.com, Inc. (a niche portal targeting parents of newborns). Walt Amaral Walter D. Amaral has over 25 years of Finance experience, the last 8 years as a CFO of publicly traded companies. He is currently Sr. VP Finance and CFO of S3 Incorporated, a multimedia company located in Santa Clara Ca. His previous CFO positions were at NetManage Inc. and Maxtor Corp. He spent 15 years at Intel Corporation in various Finance and Marketing positions. His last position at Intel was as Corporate Controller. He has significant M&A experience with over a dozen acquisitions. Walt has managed groups as large as 500 people and as small as 10 people. Walt has been on various Boards including the Board of Storage Dimensions, Maxoptixs and NetVision. Jack Bell Jack Bell has over 30 years of experience as a consultant, advisor, and senior executive working with major corporations, and with start-up companies on the leading edge of information technology development. Currently he serves as a venture advisor and Board member for start-up and pre-IPO companies in the Internet and wireless data space. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute for Legal Reform in Washington, D.C. Jack's prior experience includes key leadership positions with major companies during times of significant change. Jack served as Executive VP & Chief Financial Officer of a number of leading companies in different industries, including Adobe systems, Conner Peripherals, Burlington Northern, and US Airways. He also held senior positions at American Airlines and the Washington Post Company. Earlier Jack also served as a consultant at McKinsey & Company for six years. In almost all of these situations, Jack was brought in to work with the companies as they were facing major challenges -- on the threshold of major opportunities for growth, in need of a turnaround, or facing major changes in their industry environment. Jack's particular expertise is in the formulation of company strategies that have the highest potential for success, coupled with disciplined execution of those strategies in complex technological or operational environments. His current work includes companies on the leading edge in the internet software and infrastructure spaces. Jack has extensive experience in negotiation of mergers and acquisitions, in starting-up companies in the high tech arena, and in putting in place the processes and disciplines to support rapid expansion without undermining entrepreneurial creativity. Prior to beginning his professional career, Jack served to the rank of Captain in the Marine Corps, with tours of duty in Vietnam, Okinawa, and the Caribbean. Jack has a BS degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University and an MA in International Relations from the University of South Carolina. James M. Kelly (Mike) Mike Kelly was a Senior Vice President - Management Information Systems at Ingram Micro, and retired from Ingram Micro on May 1st, 1998 as an officer of the Corporation after 11 years. During this the time he was employed at Ingram Micro, he was instrumental in providing the company with an Information Technology environment that allowed it to grow from a sales base of M in the United States to a B leading Global Distributor of Technology solutions. In 1999 Forbes and Fortune Magazines' 'Top 500' list, Ingram Micro was in the top 30. Mike has held comparable positions with Softsel Computer products (now Merisel), Hughes Helicopters, and Coca Cola Bottling Co. of LA. Mike was an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and a LT. CDR in the Coast Guard Reserve. Mike has a MBA from UCLA and BS in Math from Florida State. Mike is a member of the board of: Computers4Sure.com (C4S), and Solutions4Sure.com (S4S) based in Norwalk Connecticut. These are 'Internet' enabled companies that sell computer products over the Internet. These operations are over a year old and began business in December 1998. Sales for the first year in business was in excess of M and have a run rate in excess of M by December 2000. Paradise Canyon Systems, a Honolulu, Hawaii based systems reseller and integrator of graphics and imaging systems. Paradise Canyon is also the developer of "Property Links" an Internet enabled system used to track and manage real property for the US NAVY in Hawaii. Multrix, a Netherlands based ASP-Application Service Provider, provides Internet enabled applications, desktop software and hardware support, Internet connections, Web Hosting, and other related services. | ||||||
